This ceramic tile mosaic mirror with red and white roses is one of many I have made from an early idea I had while preparing stir fry for dinner. As I chopped the bok choy, I noticed that the cross section of the root looked very rose-like. So I saved the ends and pressed them into soft clay to form my “roses.” The variety is as infinite as roses in nature! In addition to the flower and leaf tiles, this mirror has about 85 small tiles, each one individually hand cut, fired, glazed, and re-fired. Also incorporated to add variety are beads and glass gems. Note the dragon fly and the red butterfly beads. This 12”x10” mirror would enhance an exterior wall, a fence, a trellis or bathroom wall.
