Most often, found metal tables are the substrata for Saundra’s garden tables. Sometimes a piece of cement board is added for a good tiling surface.

The flower tiles are either hand formed or, if roses, made by imprinting the remaining root end of bok choy (after cutting off the leaves for stir fry) into moist clay. Who knew?

Butterflies and birds are hand-painted with underglaze before firing. The leaves are mostly from Saundra’s garden or the farmers’ market.
